Court Reporter Services (CRS) is part of the Operations Support Division. Our Mission is to serve the court and community through the preservation of the official court record.

How do I request a Court Reporter Transcript?

Civil, Criminal, Family Law, Probate, Mental Health Proceedings

Court Reporter Transcripts for Civil, Criminal, Family Law, Probate or Mental Health proceedings may be requested directly with the court reporter who transcribed the proceedings. Requests for Court Reporter Transcripts may be submitted using the form by clicking here. In order to process your request, the following information is required:

  • Case number
  • Date(s) of proceedings

After the request is received, the court reporter will provide an estimate to prepare the transcript. Transcripts are charged per page,  and payment must be arranged directly with the court reporter.

Please allow up to one week for the court reporter to respond. If you have not been contacted within that time, please call Court Reporter Services at (657) 622-6878, Option 2, then Option 8.

Juvenile Proceedings

Transcripts for Juvenile proceedings must be requested through a separate process due to confidentiality. Instructions for requesting Court Reporter Transcripts for Juvenile proceedings may be found by clicking here.

Expedited Transcript Request for All Case Types

For any party or entity requesting an expedited transcript, the Court Reporter should be notified immediately.  For Juvenile proceedings, the appropriate form (JV-570 or L-0673) must be promptly filed with the Juvenile clerk.

Since expedited transcription services are not expressly permitted and rates are not defined in statute, the court reporter does not have a duty to perform the service or provide the service at any price rate. However, if the court reporter is notified in a timely manner, the court reporter will make best efforts. Whether an entity or private party, confirmation of payment to the court reporter for expedited transcripts is required prior to the court reporter preparing the transcript.
