* Code of Civil Procedure, Section 135, provides: "Every full day designated as a holiday by Section 6700 of the Government Code . . . is a judicial holiday except September 9, known as 'Admission Day'" (emphasis added). Good Friday is a state holiday which is observed from noon until 3:00 p.m. pursuant to Section 6700 of the Government Code. But, since the Good Friday observance does not constitute a full day as required by Code of Civil Procedure, Section 135, it does not constitute a judicial holiday and will not be observed as such.

** Pursuant to California Rules of Court, Rule 1.11, when a judicial holiday specified by Code of Civil Procedure, Section 135 falls on Sunday, the courts shall observe the holiday on the following Monday. When a judicial holiday specified by Code of Civil Procedure, Section 135 falls on a Saturday, the courts shall observe the holiday on the preceding Friday.
