Collaborative Courts
Collaborative or “problem solving” Courts are specialized court tracks that address underlying issues that may be present in the lives of persons who come before the court on criminal, juvenile, or dependency matters.

Failure to Appear or Pay
Failure to resolve your traffic ticket by the due date may result in a $100.00 civil assessment fee being imposed Penal Code §1214.1, in addition to the original bail.
Court Reporter Services
Court Reporter Services (CRS): Our Mission Statement is to serve the court and community through the preservation of the official court record.
Family Court Services
Family Court Services provides mediation and investigation services to families in Orange County. Specially trained Court Mediators are available to work with families in an effort to resolve issues related to the custody of their children.
FAMILY
The Family Law Unit handles cases in which people are ending a marriage or registered domestic partnership, identifying a child’s legal parents, determining custody and visitation issues, establishing establishing or enforcing child and spousal support or dealing with domestic violence or elder abuse issues.
Grand Jury
The California Grand Jury is unique in its function and selection process compared to other juries, including petit and trial juries and federal grand juries. Each county is required by law to impanel a body of 23 or 19 members, depending on county population, to serve for a term of one year.
Jury Services
Jury staff of the superior courts do not ask past or prospective jurors for information regarding credit card, bank account information and Social Security numbers. Please do not provide this type of information to anyone claiming to be associated with Jury Services.
Language Access Services
Mission Statement: To serve the court and community by providing meaningful language access assistance to the Limited English Proficient (LEP) court users and the hearing impaired, thereby ensuring the legitimacy of our system of justice and the trust and confidence of Californians in our courts.
Probate/Mental Health
The Probate/Mental Health Unit handles a variety of cases, including cases related to probate, mental health, and civil. For more information on cases processed in this unit, please see the list at the bottom of this page.
