Santa Ana– Effective, July 3, 2007, The Superior Court in Orange County will expand traffic night court to the first and third Tuesdays of each month, between the hours of 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
“Quality of Justice and Service to the Public is a strategic goal of the Court,” said Presiding Judge Nancy Wieben Stock. “I’m pleased the Court is able to increase its Night Court sessions at each of its justice centers so it is more convenient for the public to access the Court to resolve their traffic matters.”
Night court is available at Central Justice Center in Santa Ana, Harbor Justice Center in Newport Beach, Harbor Justice Center in Laguna Hills, North Justice Center in Fullerton, and West Justice Center in Westminster. The sessions are limited to hearings for traffic arraignments and non-trial traffic proceedings.
More information regarding traffic court is available at the Court’s website: www.occourts.org. Information and services such as on-line payment for traffic citations, and answers to frequently asked questions on a variety of court matters is provided.
* In September 2003, due to the State’s financial crisis and its impact on the Court budget in 2002-2003, the Court was forced to reduce the Night Court for traffic calendar to one night each month.
