Temporary Judge Application Process – Update

Santa Ana- The Court received more than 250 applications for the Temporary Judge Program. The application process is now closed and the screening process is almost complete. All applicants will be notified by mail of their application status. Successful applicants will be informed of their specific panel assignments and invited to attend mandatory training. All Temporary Judges must complete a total of six hours of in-person training, which includes three hours of Ethics training and three hours of Bench Demeanor & Fairness training. Training sessions will be offered at the Central Justice Center. Additional training is required for those serving in the areas of traffic court trials, traffic arraignments, small claims, family law, and probate.
