Facility Guide

General Parking: Parking is available in the parking structure, located northwest of the main entrance to the facility. This facility charges a parking fee.

Elevators: Public Elevators are available just inside the front entrance of the building, past the security screening devices.

Public Restrooms: Restrooms are located on each floor of the facility, to the south side of the building. The women's restrooms may be accessed by going along the east side of the atrium, straight back to the south end of the public hallway.

The men's restrooms may be accessed by going along the west side of the atrium, straight back to the south end of the public hallway.


Facilities for Persons with Disabilities

Handicapped Parking: Parking spaces are available for individuals who possess proper handicapped parking permits. The parking spaces are in the public parking structure, located northwest of the main entrance to the building.

Rest Rooms: Restrooms with wheelchair access and support bars are located on each floor of the building.


Services Guide

Public Telephones are located on each floor of the building, just outside the public restroom at the end of the south hallway.

Food: The cafeteria is located to the north of the front entrance (across the plaza), in the Manchester Office Building. The operating hours are from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Children's Chambers: A special room has been provided for children who have been brought to the court to testify or for other court-related needs. Please contact the Information Desk or Sheriff's Security Desk for information regarding this room.

Family Law Facilitator: An office to assist litigants in pro per (not represented by a lawyer) has been established for Family Law matters. It is located on the 6th Floor, going around the atrium and into the west public hallway, on the right hand side.

Family Court Services and Probate Court Services: This office assists in child custody/visitation plans and provides investigative services in probate, guardianship, adoption and domestic violence matters. It is located on the 5th Floor, on the west side of the building.

Files/Filings: Juvenile: Located on the 2nd Floor on the west side of the building.

Family Law: Located on the 7th Floor, on the west side of the building.

Probate: Located on the 7th Floor, on the east side of the building.

Courtrooms: Department L11 is located on the 1st Floor; Departments L21 - L23 are located on the 2nd Floor; Departments L31 - L34 are located on the 3rd Floor; Departments L41 -L44 are located on the 4th Floor; Departments L51 - L53 are located on the 5th Floor; Departments L60 - L69 are located on the 6th Floor; Departments L71 - L73 are located on the 7th Floor.


Services for Persons with Disabilities

Information regarding A.D.A. accommodations is available at the Information Desk in the main lobby on the first floor. It is also available at any public window in the clerks' offices.

Service animals are welcome.

Public telephones with wheelchair access are provided on each floor just outside the public restrooms.

TDD telephones are available.

Assistive Listening devices, computer-aided transcription systems, and interpreters of the American Sign Language (ASL) are available for people with hearing impairment. If you know in advance that you will require a listening device, computer-aided transcription, or an ASL interpreter when you visit the Justice Center, please complete the form entitled "Request for Accommodation," available at the Information Desk in the main lobby or at any public filing counter in the clerks' offices. You may also access the form on the Orange County Superior Court Website or directly from the Judicial Council as discussed below. After completing the form, please submit it to the Information Desk or at any public filing counter.

Mobility: Court personnel and Sheriffs will assist in directing and instructing witnesses, litigants and others to accessible areas of the court and in finding service alternatives. If you are participating in a trial or have been summoned as a witness and will need special assistance, please telephone our office at (714) 935-6822. Ramps or any other assistance you may require will be provided for you.

The goal of the Superior Court of California County of Orange is to make its services and facilities accessible to all persons. In order to assist in this goal, requests and recommendations regarding the services and facilities are welcome. Please complete a service request and suggestion form available at the Information Desk on the first floor and give it to staff on duty or to staff at any public filing counter in the clerks' offices. In Court Services

One of the Court's goals is to contribute to the quality of life in the community by fairly and impartially administering justice in the most effective, efficient and professional manner possible.

The California Judicial Council has established a Rule of Court directing the method for requesting specific accommodation services to assist those participating in court proceedings. Forms to request accommodation are available at all public filing counters in the clerks' offices in the justice center or may be accessed on the Orange County Superior Court Website.
