Our Mission is to serve the court and community through the preservation of the official court record; and by providing language assistance to the Limited English Proficient (LEP) court users and the hearing impaired.

Electronic Recording Monitors - ERM An electronic audio recording may be provided on some cases in the Superior Court of California, County of Orange. Before a proceeding may be recorded, permission is needed from the judge presiding over the case, and recordings are subject to availability of equipment and monitors.

How do I get a copy or transcripts of an ERM proceeding? Copies of electronically recorded proceedings are available on CD, and cost $10.00 per disc. Requests for CD of recording may be submitted via e-mail in order to process your request, please provide the following information within your e-mail request:

Please allow one week for request to be processed. You will be contacted when the disc is ready to be picked up.

In order to play the CD, you must download a player from www.fortherecord.com. There is no charge for this download.

Parties are responsible for making their own arrangements for paper transcripts of electronically recorded proceedings. The Court does not provide references for transcription services.
